Isla Canela belongs to the town of Ayamonte in the province of Huelva, on the westernmost tip of the Costa de la Luz where the mouth of the Guadiana River marks the border with Portugal.

Isla Canela beach stretches over 7km of golden sand and is the perfect spot for a variety of water sports thanks to the sand banks (known to the locals as ‘golas’) which appear and disappear with the rise and fall of the tide. This is a beach whose landscape completely changes every 6 hours.

The Island is also host to a further variety of activities, boasting a Golf Course, natural parks, walking and cycling routes and historical monuments including a Roman mausoleum and a beacon tower. The possibilities for having fun are endless.
